A woman infected with the novel pneumonia (2019-nCoV) gave birth to a healthy baby in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province on Thursday.

Doctors delivered the baby girl by Caesarean section in the Harbin No. 6 Hospital.

The hospital said on Monday that two nucleic acid tests on the newborn showed negative on Friday and Sunday respectively.

The mother and the baby are under medical observation in separate rooms of the hospital and are in good condition.
