More patients of the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) were cured and discharged from hospitals across China on Sunday.
In Hangzhou City of east China's Zhejiang Province, 12 recovered from the disease and were discharged from the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine on Sunday. They are the second batch of viral pneumonia patients cured at the hospital.
Three patients of the pneumonia were also discharged from hospital in Huai'an City of east China's Jiangsu Province Sunday morning.
In Hegang City of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, the first coronavirus-infected patient recovered and left the local hospital for infectious diseases on Sunday.
"She will need to be isolated at home for 14 days after being discharged. Apart from wearing a mask, we also advise her to ventilate and wash hands on a frequent basis, and not to go out without permission. Our hospital will follow up with her," said Miao Qing, vice president of the hospital in Hegang.
In east China's Anhui Province, 13 were discharged from hospitals on Sunday in such cities as Anqing, Huaibei, Suzhou, Fuyang and Huainan, bringing the total of cured patients in Anhui up to 72 by Sunday.
The second cured patient of the disease in Dongguan City of south China's Guangdong Province left the Ninth People's Hospital of the city at 10:00 Sunday. As of 12:00 the same day, 128 patients have recovered from the NCP and have been allowed to return home.
Sunday alone also many other cured patients walk out of hospitals after recovery in other cities, including two in Gansu Province of northwest China and two in Beijing's neighbor province of Hebei.
The first cured patient in Weifang City of east China's Shandong Province was also discharged from hospital Sunday morning.
According to China's National Health Commission, the number of the overall confirmed cases reported on the Chinese mainland had reached 37,198 and the number of death was 811 by the end of Saturday.
