China dispatch 3,000-member medical teams from around the country to treat critically ill patients in virus-hit areas of Wuhan City and its neighboring cities in central China's Hubei Province Thursday.

Doctors of Wuhan Union Hospital come to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport to pick up medical experts and teams as China has sent 11 medical teams to support the hospital.

"This time the medical teams are mainly coming to work at a medical center recently set up by our hospital. And the central government has dispatched 11 teams to help us treat patients. Now we are coming to airport to pick up these experts and medical teams which offer us great support," said Chen Zirui, a doctor from Cancer Center of Wuhan Union Hospital.

Among the teams is one with 138 members from Fujian Provincial Hospital in east China's Fujian Province.

"We have 138 people, including 35 doctors, 100 nurses, and two liaison officers. Our doctors mainly specialize in respiratory diseases and critically ill patients, and some in angiocarpy and digestion," said Chen Feng, deputy head of the hospital.

The hospital has also provided long-distance support back in Fujian for Wuhan, according to Chen.

Moreover, Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital also sent a team with 160 members to help Hubei fight against the epidemic.

"We have a team of 160 people -- including 120 nurses, and 40 doctors -- from intensive care, respiratory, infection and internal medicine departments," Wu Chao, director of Infection Division of Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital.

Wu added that they are in charge of a whole inpatient ward. And they are all well trained and clinically experienced, so he believed they will complete the mission.
