China is willing to actively contribute Chinese wisdom, Chinese experience and Chinese prescription to the international community to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, said a spokesman of Chinese Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.

Geng Shuang, the spokesman, told the press that China has held nearly 20 expert video conferences with more than 100 countries and international organizations.

"So far, China has successively held nearly 20 expert video conferences with more than 100 countries in Northeast Asia, South Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and South Pacific, as well as international organizations such as Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), European Union (EU), African Union (AU), Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and Caribbean Community. The latest one was a video conference held yesterday with more than 200 experts and officials from 25 countries, including countries in Latin America, all of the Caribbean countries that have diplomatic relations with China, and Nicaragua. Geng introduced that in these video conferences, China shared its experience and practices from the epidemiological characteristics, prevention and control strategies, clinical diagnosis and treatment, and close follow-up of the COVID-19 cases, and made recommendations for foreign counterparts.

The foreign participants thanked China for organizing the video conferences in a timely manner and praised the effectiveness of these conferences. They believed that the conferences were transparent and open, with a large amount of information and strong professional knowledges. The foreign participants said Chinese experts shared everything they knew about the COVID-19, which are of the great importance in reference and guiding the local prevention work.
