We have also seen that as the epidemic situation developed in the U.S., many local governments, enterprises and private institutions in China have also extended their assistance to the U.S. In the face of the epidemic, the international community, including the United States and China, should work together to safeguard global health security and the interests and well-being of the mankind."

The United States should work with China in the same direction in the battle against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), rather than damage the bilateral cooperation with stigmatizing practices, said Chinese officials at a press conference on Thursday in Beijing.

According to Luo Zhaohui, vice foreign minister of China, when the outbreak was severe in China, the U.S. government, companies, non-governmental organizations, overseas Chinese and Chinese communities in the United States provided a lot of support to China. Leaders of the United States have also made positive public comments on China's epidemic prevention and control efforts and the cooperation between the two countries, he said.
