The Argentine Army has begun to distribute food to the people in quarantine in Buenos Aires, providing aid to contain the spread of the COVID-19, the country's military department said on Wednesday.
Argentina reported 117 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday, bringing the country's total cases to 502.
With the help of security forces and non-governmental organizations, some military trucks arrived in Buenos Aires, bringing food to local people.
The Ministry of Defense of Argentina said that the trucks will remain in Buenos Aires until March 31, and further extension can be made if necessary.
So far, "three field kitchens" have been deployed in different regions of Quilmes.
