Such behaviors, however, could by no means write off the anti-epidemic achievements the Chinese people have made through hard struggle, but only expose the sinister intentions of certain individuals in the United States and the grave problems with themselves."

China is not interested in meddling in the upcoming presidential election of the United States, said Geng Shuang, spokesman of the Foreign Ministry, at a press briefing in Beijing on Thursday.

"We have stated on many occasions that the presidential election is an internal affair of the United States, and China is not interested in meddling in it. In the meantime, we hope that the United States should not make China an issue in its domestic politics," said Geng in responding to question about U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks in a Wednesday interview that China wants him to lose the election and will do anything to make him lose.

Trump also said he is looking into ways to make China pay for the spread of the COVID-19.

Geng said that the U.S. is shirking its own responsibility and it cannot ignore the achievement the Chinese people have made in the fight against the epidemic.

"For some time, certain U.S. politicians have disregarded facts and vilified and assaulted China in an attempt to shirk their own responsibility for their incompetence in fighting the pandemic, divert people's attention, pass the buck and blame others for their fault. Such behaviors, however, could by no means write off the anti-epidemic achievements the Chinese people have made through hard struggle, but only expose the sinister intentions of certain individuals in the United States and the grave problems with themselves," said Geng.

صرح قنغ شوانغ، المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الصينية، يوم الخميس/ 30 أبريل بأن الصين غير مهتمة بالتدخل في الانتخابات الرئاسية الأمريكية القادمة.

أدلى المتحدث بذلك في مؤتمر صحفي في بكين، في رده على سؤال حول تصريحات الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب في مقابلة الأربعاء بأن الصين ترغب في أن يفشل في الانتخابات وأنها سوف تفعل أي شيء لتحقيق ذلك.

وقال قنغ: "لقد أوضحنا في مناسبات عديدة أن الانتخابات الرئاسية الأمريكية شأن داخلي للولايات المتحدة، وأن الصين غير مهتمة بالتدخل فيها. وفي الوقت نفسه، نأمل ألا تقوم الولايات المتحدة بالزج بالصين في سياستها الداخلية."

وقال ترامب أيضًا إنه يبحث عن طرق لجعل الصين تدفع ثمن انتشار فيروس كورونا الجديد (كوفيد-19).

China no está interesada en entrometerse en las próximas elecciones presidenciales de Estados Unidos (EEUU), subrayó ayer jueves Geng Shuang, portavoz del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, en una conferencia de prensa en Beijing.

"Hemos declarado en muchas ocasiones que las elecciones presidenciales son un asunto interno de EEUU, y China no está interesada en entrometerse en eso. Mientras tanto, esperamos que EEUU deje de arrastrar a China a su política interna", dijo Geng al responder a una pregunta sobre las declaraciones del presidente estadounidense, Donald Trump, hechas el miércoles en una entrevista en las que aseguraba que China quiere que él pierda las elecciones y hará todo lo posible para hacerlo fracasar.

Trump también indicó que está buscando formas de hacer que China pague por la propagación de la enfermedad del nuevo coronavirus (COVID-19).

Geng comentó que EEUU está eludiendo su propia responsabilidad al culpar a China, pero esta acción no puede eliminar los logros que el pueblo chino ha obtenido en la lucha contra la epidemia.
