Wuhan City of central China's Hubei Province -- which was hit hard by the COVID-19 outbreak earlier this year -- is set to launch a live-streamed sales promotion operation on Sunday to boost consumption along with significant easing of the epidemic across China.
Since the 76-day lockdown of the city was lifted on April 8, local enterprises have become increasingly eager to present their best products ranging from high-tech machinery to farm produce, snacks, clothes, books to jewelry to consumers coming from across the country.
This time, a 3D printing machine producer based in the province is planning to recommend a 3D printer it has developed to ordinary families, instead of those for large-scale use by enterprises.
"It costs less than 100 yuan (about 14 U.S. dollars) to buy the material to print an aircraft or automobile model. It's very easy. Now we are printing a small boat, which takes only about 20 minutes," said Li Juan, foreign trade manager of Hubei Dichuang 3D Technology Company.
The municipal government is planning to organize several live-streaming events from May 10 to 26, to give local enterprises more opportunities to display their advantages and products after months of struggle due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

We may have online shopping events, during which our leaders and popular broadcasters will walk into shopping malls for customers.
