Demonstrators in the United States protested outside the White House on Saturday, venting their anger over the death of George Floyd, an African-American man who died in police custody.
Protests started around 14:00 in front of the Department of Justice, walked up in front of the Capitol Hill, and then came to the White House.
It was mostly a peaceful protest throughout the whole day.
In one incident,the protesters peacefully stopped a police car, preventing it from moving on. A few minutes later, one protester attacked the police vehicle, but many of the protesters booed him to stop doing it, as they did not want violence.
As the day came to an end, there were skirmishes between the riot police and the protesters, and the tension kept building in front of the White House.
Officers in camouflage with heavy weapons, local police and a secret service were deployed to the White House.
