"Charges don't mean anything until one of the people are in jail doing serious time and I'm not to talking of a slap on the wrist, 25 years hard time in federal prison. That's the only way they are going to understand. We've been fighting for so long. Our ancestors came a long way for us to have the voter's rights. We came a long way. We are gonna continue to fight until we get justice."

New Yorkers continued with protests for a third straight day on Saturday, demanding justice over the death of George Floyd, an an unarmed African American who died of police brutality on Monday.
Hundreds of protesters including African Americans, Latinos, Asian Americans and other racial groups gathered in the Brooklyn borough of the city in protest over the death of 46-year-old Floyd. They marched in the street and chanted slogans. At least two protesters were arrested by the police.
Floyd died after Derek Chauvin, a white police officer, held him down with a knee on his neck though he repeatedly pleaded, "I can't breathe," and "please, I can't breathe." Chauvin was arrested and charged with three-degree murder and manslaughter earlier on Friday.
