Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday held a phone conversation with Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrai Oyun-Erdene to discuss relations between their two countries, with both sides agreeing to promote bilateral cooperation in multiple fields.
Positively commenting on the development of bilateral relations, Li said China is willing to work with Mongolia to maintain strategic communication, and deepen pragmatic cooperation between the two countries in pursuit of the principles of good-neighborliness and friendship, equality and mutual benefit.
In particular, given the current situation, it is imperative for the two countries to strengthen cooperation in epidemic prevention and control and make more efforts to speed up the restoration of their full cross-border cargo handling capacity, so as to ensure smooth execution of major projects in cooperation between the two countries, according to Li.
Emphasizing that environmental problems know no national boundaries, Li said China stands ready to enhance bilateral cooperation with Mongolia in environmental protection and in prevention and control of desertification to meet challenges.
According to Li, as the foundation for China's overall economic recovery is consolidating, China will pay close attention to changes in the international economic landscape, develop a better environment and vigorously stimulate the vigor and vitality of market players, in order to maintain smooth operation of the Chinese economy within a reasonable range and keep the sustained and healthy growth of its economy in the long run.
For his part, Oyun-Erdene said that Mongolia is committed to developing good-neighborly and friendly relations with China on a long-term basis. Mongolia is willing to deepen pragmatic cooperation in all fields with China and enrich the connotation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Mongolia and China, he said.
