The livelihoods of locals living in the Gaza Strip has become even harder as Israel continues its large-scale airstrikes.

By the end of Sunday, airstrikes conducted by Israeli military forces have lasted for seven days.

The airstrikes have seriously damaged Gaza's electricity facilities, water supply network and communication system. Local residents are now facing a difficult situation with not enough power and water.

"Because of the airstrikes conducted by Israel in our region, all the municipal services are interrupted. Electricity, water, network and telecommunications are cut off. I have no idea when these essential municipal services will be restored. We have to undergo all these difficulties. It really sucks," said Khalil, a Gaza resident.

Some locals regarded the struggle they are going through as a tragedy of humanitarianism.

"Palestine have been suffering from such destruction for 15 years. But now the situation is getting even worse. This conflict has aggravated the suffering of the Palestinian people. We also haven't found any solutions. This is literally a tragedy of humanitarianism," said Imad, another Gaza resident.

As main roads were damaged by the airstrikes, rescuers cannot rush to the rescue sites in a short period of time.

Currently, the local municipality is now trying to repair infrastructure as quickly as possible.

"We are now organizing an emergency committee. Led by the local municipality with the participation of various departments, the committee will follow up on the progress of infrastructure restoration as well as livelihood services constantly," said Yahya Al-Sarraj, president of the Union of Municipalities in Gaza.

أصبحت حياة السكان المحليين الذين يعيشون في قطاع غزة أكثر صعوبة مع استمرار إسرائيل في غاراتها الجوية واسعة النطاق.

وبحلول نهاية يوم الأحد/16 مايو، استمرت الضربات الجوية التي نفذتها القوات العسكرية الإسرائيلية لمدة سبعة أيام.

وألحقت الغارات الجوية أضرارًا جسيمة بمنشآت الكهرباء وشبكة إمدادات المياه ونظام الاتصالات في غزة، في حين يواجه السكان المحليون الآن وضعا صعبًا بسبب عدم وجود ما يكفي من الكهرباء والمياه.

على هذه الخلفية، قال خليل، أحد السكان المحليين في غزة: "توقفت جميع الخدمات البلدية بسبب الغارات الجوية التي شنها القصف الإسرائيلي الصهيوني على قطاع غزة والتي استهدفت منطقتنا، فقد انقطعت الكهرباء والمياه والشبكات والاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية، ولا أدري متى سنستعيد هذه الخدمات البلدية الأساسية، ونحن نعاني كثيرا للاتصال بالجهات المختصة ونعاني أكثر لغاية أن يأتوا إلينا. إنه أمر معقد حقا."

بدوره، ذكر عماد، مقيم آخر في غزة: "إن الواقع الفلسطيني مدمّر ومتأزم أصلا من 15 سنة، لكن الوضع الآن يزداد سوءا، ما فاقم معاناة الشعب الفلسطيني الذي لا يجد أي حل، هذه مأساة إنسانية بامتياز."

من جهة أخرى، مع تضرر الطرق الرئيسية من الغارات الجوية، لا يستطيع رجال الإنقاذ الاندفاع إلى مواقع الإنقاذ في فترة قصيرة من الزمن، فيما تحاول البلدية المحلية حاليا إصلاح البنية التحتية في أسرع وقت ممكن.

من جانبه، أشار يحيى السراج، رئيس اتحاد بلديات غزة: "نحن حاليا نعمل ضمن لجنة الطوارئ التي شُكلت من عدة فرق من مدينة غزة، ومن بلديات قطاع غزة بشكل عام. هذه اللجنة في انعقاد دائم وتستمر في أعمالها لمتابعة القضايا ساعة بساعة."

La vida de los palestinos en la Franja de Gaza es una lucha por la supervivencia, con escasez de recursos básicos, encerrados y, ahora, bajo una nueva ofensiva aérea por parte de Israel.

Hasta el pasado domingo, los ataques aéreos a gran escala de las fuerzas militares israelíes contra la Franja de Gaza sumaban siete días.

Esta ofensiva bélica ha dañado gravemente las instalaciones eléctricas, los canales de suministro de agua y el sistema de comunicaciones de Gaza. Los palestinos se enfrentan ahora a una situación agravada y de mayor vulnerabilidad si cabe, con insuficiente suministro eléctrico y escasez de agua.

"Debido a los ataques aéreos realizados por Israel en nuestra región, todos los servicios municipales están interrumpidos. Hay cortes de electricidad, agua, red y telecomunicaciones. No tengo idea de cuándo se restablecerán estos servicios municipales esenciales. Tenemos que pasar por todas estas dificultades. Esto realmente apesta", confirmó Khalil, un residente de Gaza.

Algunos palestinos denuncian que la terrible situación que sufren supone una tragedia del humanitarismo.

"Palestina ha estado sufriendo tal destrucción durante 15 años. Pero ahora la situación está empeorando. Este conflicto ha agravado el sufrimiento del pueblo palestino. No hemos encontrado ninguna solución. Esto es literalmente una tragedia del humanitarismo", advirtió Imad, otro residente de Gaza.

Con las carreteras principales dañadas por los ataques aéreos, para los equipos de rescate, como bomberos y sanitarios de emergencias, llegar a tiempo a los lugares afectados por ataques se convierte en una gran odisea.

Actualmente, los técnicos y trabajadores municipales están tratando de reparar la infraestructura lo más rápido posible.

"Ahora estamos organizando un comité de emergencia. Liderado por el municipio local con la participación de varios departamentos, el comité hará un seguimiento constante del progreso de la restauración de la infraestructura y de los servicios de medios de vida", señaló Yahya Al-Sarraj, presidente de la Unión de Municipios de Gaza.
