The Chinese mainland on Friday reported 35 new COVID-19 cases, of which 22 were imported and 13 were locally transmitted, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Saturday.
Twelve of the 13 new locally transmitted cases were reported in east China's Jiangsu Province, and one in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
Of the new imported cases, five each were reported in the provinces of Guangdong and Yunnan, four in Fujian, three in Sichuan, two in Shanghai, and one each in Tianjin, Henan and Hubei, according to the commission.
No new suspected cases or new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported Friday, it added.
A total of 7,183 imported cases had been reported on the mainland by the end of Friday. Among them, 6,617 had been discharged from hospitals following recovery, and 566 remained hospitalized. No deaths had been reported among the imported cases.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the mainland reached 92,497 by Friday, including 681 patients still receiving treatment, 16 of whom were in severe conditions.
A total of 87,180 patients had been discharged following recovery, and 4,636 had died as a result of the virus.
There were three suspected COVID-19 cases on the mainland on Friday.
Twenty asymptomatic cases were newly reported, 16 of them arriving from outside the mainland. There were a total of 444 asymptomatic cases, of whom 415 were imported, under medical observation on Friday.
By the end of Friday, 11,973 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 212 deaths, had been reported in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), while 56 cases had been reported in the Macao SAR, and 15,535 cases, including 784 deaths, had been reported in Taiwan.
A total of 11,693 COVID-19 patients in the Hong Kong SAR had been discharged from hospitals following recovery, while 53 had been discharged in the Macao SAR, and 12,501 had been discharged in Taiwan.
