"I endlessly admired one of my friends who happened to meet with the General Secretary in Dunhuang a few years ago. Now that I've come to Lhasa on a trip and it just hit upon a time when Tibet is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet and also the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Although it's my first visit to Lhasa, I can see the great changes that have taken place here and the faces of Lhasa people brimming with the sense of happiness."

Lhasa residents of the Tibet Autonomous Region are still feeling excitement lingering in their hearts when recalling the moments of interacting with President Xi Jinping during his inspection tour of the region from Wednesday to Friday.
President Xi, also general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, visited the Drepung Monastery, Barkhor Street and the Potala Palace square, where he inspected shops and learned about the development of tourism and cultural development and the preservation of Tibetan culture when chatting with residents cordially.
"He (President Xi) came to the shop from here and looked at the fabrics, silks and sateen, and linen for making clothes. I was very excited and happy to see him. The Barkhor Street has become more vibrant recently. I've grown up here and have a lot of acquaintances. I am very pleased to see everyone living a better life," said Danzeng Dolma, a shop assistant.
