"The country's commercial aerospace financing market in 2020 was very active, exceeding the 10-billion-yuan mark (roughly 1.57 billion U.S. dollars) for the first time. The increase in financing is more than 60 percent over 2019. Governments at all levels have also issued relevant policies. In particular, some fiscal and tax policies and industrial policies are gradually in place. All these have played a huge role in promoting the development of commercial aerospace."

"In our country, the proportion of commercial aerospace is far below the international average. If the investment of aerospace industry hardware (satellites and rockets) is one, the output of these space facilities' application in the future will be 10, or more than 10 times. Thus commercial aerospace here still has great growth potential."

Storyline

China's space economy is on the fast track of development, with commercial aerospace market continuing to expand.

Industry elites gathered in Wuhan City, central China's Hubei Province, for the 7th China (International) Commercial Aerospace Forum held from Wednesday to Friday.

The theme of this year's forum is "New Pattern of Industry Development; New Journey for Commercial Aerospace". Experts say that China's commercial aerospace industry is steadily advancing and over 100 investment firms are giving strong boost to the sector's innovation and progress.

All these have played a huge role in promoting the development of commercial aerospace," said Hou Xiufeng, spokesman of the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), a major player in the aerospace industry.

Hou said the commercial aerospace industry is developing rapidly from a global perspective, with large-scale constellation networks, manned space travels, and commercial space exploration serving as important engines driving the industry forward.

Statistics show that in 2020, the global aerospace industry revenue reached 447 billion U.S. dollars, of which commercial aerospace accounted for nearly 80 percent and became a predominant driving force for the economic development of the global aerospace industry.

"In our country, the proportion of commercial aerospace is far below the international average. If the investment of aerospace industry hardware (satellites and rockets) is one, the output of these space facilities' application in the future will be 10, or more than 10 times. Thus commercial aerospace here still has great growth potential," said the CASIC spokesman.
