Storyline


Chinese President Xi Jinping said Friday that he and King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of the Kingdom of Thailand jointly have ushered China-Thailand relations in a new chapter since his state visit to the Southeast Asian country in 2022.

Xi made the remarks when meeting with the visiting Thai King in Beijing.

"In 2022, my wife, Peng Liyuan, and I visited Thailand, where we had a cordial meeting with Your Majesties the King and Queen Suthida. We engaged in friendly discussions and exchanged views on advancing cooperation between our countries. Since then, we have jointly ushered in a new chapter of China-Thailand relations," said the Chinese president.

"I'm very happy that we have this opportunity for a cordial exchange, just as we did when Your Excellencies visited Thailand. This feeling has persisted until my visit to China this time. I am deeply moved and would like to express my gratitude to you," said the Thai King.
