Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday extended a warm welcome to visiting King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of the Kingdom of Thailand, hailing the close familial bond between the two countries.
At the invitation of Xi, the Thai King is paying a state visit to China from Thursday to Monday.
"I am very glad to meet Your Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua again. I warmly welcome Your Majesty and Queen Suthida to visit China. Your Majesty has taken China as the first major country to pay a state visit to as king and is the first Thai king to visit China since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
