As a part of the Jordan medical corridor initiative to provide healthcare support for Gaza residents, 16 children, along with 51 family members, were transported to the country via the King Hussein Bridge border crossing.
The patients will receive treatment in Jordanian hospitals in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The initiative, proposed by Jordan's King Abdullah II in February, planned to receive up to 2,000 Palestinian children from Gaza for treatment.
