Russia said on Saturday that its armed forces had launched massive strikes on Ukrainian targets including military-industrial and energy infrastructure, while Ukraine, on the same day, reported repelling dozens of attacks from the Russian side.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said in its latest report that in response to Ukrainian attacks on Russian civilian facilities, its armed forces conducted a large-scale strike using long-range precision weapons against Ukrainian defense industry enterprises, associated energy facilities, and port infrastructure used by the Ukrainian military in the early hours of Saturday.

Over the past day, Russian forces struck 152 areas containing Ukrainian energy and transportation infrastructure, military equipment depots, as well as temporary deployment points for Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries, shooting down 366 Ukrainian drones, according to the ministry's statement.

On the same day, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that 184 combat engagements occurred along the front lines in the past 24 hours.

Ukrainian forces repelled dozens of Russian assaults in multiple directions including Slobozhanske, Kupiansk, and Pokrovsk, destroying Russian tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery systems.

As of Saturday morning, Ukraine had downed or neutralized 585 attack drones of various types.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on social media that Russian forces launched another aerial attack on multiple regions of Ukraine from Friday night into the early hours of Saturday, primarily targeting the country's energy infrastructure.
