Then I think those people who are concerned about the design, because the new design, especially the black ones, seems much more attractive than the old ones. Apple unveiled its newest version of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus as well as the Apple Watch Series 2 on Wednesday at a launch event in the U.S. city of San Francisco.
The iPhone 7 comes with a sleeker design, a Sapphire glass finish and a redesigned home button that senses the strength of a user's touch.
It is water and dust resistant. Its new camera is more powerful and can create photos with depth of field - something only professional single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras can do, but not phones.
The larger iPhone 7 Plus has two lenses, one of which is a telephoto lens that zooms in 10 time further.
"I think first of all, this is for loyal customers, for whom it's a must to have, the newest model of the iPhone. So maybe those two category of customers. And of course, people who are interested in photos. Apple says the new A10 Fusion chip that powers the iPhone 7 is 240 times faster than the original iPhone. Still, the new iPhone 7 manages to squeeze out another one or two hours of extra battery life compared with previous versions.
The new model comes without a headphone jack, but is replaced by AirPods. The wireless ear buds have sensors that know when they are in the user's ears.
Apple also said AirPods connect and switch seamlessly between apple devices, including the Apple Watch Series 2.
The new watch targets people who like water sports as Apple calls them "swim-proof". The speakers actually eject water.
And for runners, Apple has teamed up with Nike, where Apple's CEO Tim Cook is a board member, to create the Apple Watch Nike Plus-with special apps and a perforated watchband to make it breathable.
