Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to Tanzania has enhanced bilateral cooperation, people-to-people exchanges and military exchange, said a
spokesman of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tuesday.

The spokesman, Lu Kang, told a regular news briefing in Beijing that Wang Yi held talks with the Tanzanian Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa and foreign minister Augustine Mahiga during his one-day working visit to the country on Monday.

"China and Tanzania agreed to consolidate the friendship between the two countries and two peoples, and strengthen political mutual trust. We will focus on promoting mutually beneficial cooperation, people-to-people exchanges, international collaboration and military exchanges, and making more achievements of the Johannesburg Summit realized in Tanzania. "

Lu said the China-Africa cooperation has reached a new level since the successful summit n December, 2015. He said China will continue to work together with African countries in deepening bilateral partnership.
