A senior Chinese diplomat briefed on Wednesday in Beijing President Xi Jinping's upcoming visit to World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

Xi will attend the 47th WEF annual meeting on Jan. 17, at the invitation of WEF founder and executive chairman Klaus Schwab, said China's Vice Foreign Minister Li Baodong.

According to Li, China is expected to achieve four goals during Xi's WEF tour.

"We wish to achieve four goals as follows: First, China will set forth its views on the economic globalization which has been the major concerns of the international community. Last, China will further deepen the exchanges and cooperation with World Economic Forum," said Li Baodong.
