Gasoline-burnt residues have been found at the site of the two-story building which was on fire early in the morning on Sunday in Changshu City of east China's Jiangsu Province, killing 22 people and injured at least three .

According to the local police, at the time the fire took place at 04:32, all the doors of the building were locked from outside, although nearly 30 people were inside the building.

Surveillance video footage taken by cameras nearby showed that the fire was deliberately set, and the suspect has been identified, according to the police.

The building was rented by a restaurant as the dorm for its employees.
