"Such dialogue is so important, because political parties play a very important role, not only in domestic governance, but also in world governance. If among political parties, people don't have consensuses, then this so-call world community will be very difficult. If all political parties can reach even minimum consensus, it will be a lot easier to build a world community."

Chinese President Xi Jinping's keynote speech at the opening of a high-level political parties meeting in Beijing has inspired foreign politicians to perceive the prospects for a shared future for mankind in a new era and the vision for governance of countries and of the world as a whole.
As the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Xi has elaborated the country's governing party's idea on building a common community of a shared future for mankind and therefore a better world on Friday at the opening of the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting in Beijing.
"I think the prospect of a new era for a shared future for mankind, I think, it's quite encouraging, and quite an inspiration for the future," said Ncediso Goodenough Kodwa, spokesman of African National Congress of South Africa.
An Asian scholar has given his weight to public consensus as the foundation for the common community.
"Such dialogue is so important, because political parties play a very important role, not only in domestic governance, but also in world governance. If among political parties, people don't have consensuses, then this so-call world community will be very difficult. If all political parties can reach even minimum consensus, it will be a lot easier to build a world community," noted Zheng Yongnian, director of East Asian Institute at the National University of Singapore.
There are others who were not in Beijing but followed the inter-party dialogue through Internet and media reports. And Helga Zepp-LaRouche is among them.
"Leaders in my view should have a vision. They should have perspective where they bring their country. You know this is something I would wish other leaders would come forward and have similar vision. I think not only China, but the whole world can be very happy to have a leader in this powerful position," commented Zepp-LaRouche, who is the founder and president of the Schiller Institute, a well-known think tank based in Germany.
For this German thinker, the concept of the Belt and Road has provided a common platform for countries to eradicate root causes of wars and to achieve shared growth through discussion and collaboration.
"I'm really convinced that the new circle is the concept to move mankind into a new era, where we stop having waste of our energy with conflict and war and subversion and these things, but where we can focus our energies on the common aims of mankind," said Zepp-LaRouche.
