Storyline


Chinese automobile brands are expecting to see a bigger market share and better sales in premium cars by the end of 2017, according to the forecast of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on Wednesday.

In 2017, the sales of cars of Chinese brands have seen steady growth, with their market shares standing at about 45 percent monthly.

Some famous Chinese brands, including Geely, Great Wall and GAC, have all leaned towards high-end products.

"Compared with many mainstream foreign brands, the prices are higher, but we offer the best prices. Of course, this is based on our good cost management and our good business model. Our prices are also very transparent," said An Conghui, CEO of Geely Automobile Holdings Limited.

All of these Chinese brands have seen a rapid increase in their exports.

"(This year) our exports are expected to grow by over 30 percent, and we have been the top exporter in the entire nation for 15 years. On the other hand, the composition of the exports have been optimized and the regions of export have been expanded," said Yin Tongyue, CEO of Cherry Automobile Corporation Limited.
