Storyline


Hailstones hit counties of east China's Jiangxi Province on Sunday. No deaths or injuries were reported.

Hailstones began to pound Langju Town of Jinxi County in Fuzhou City at 15:40, with the largest of thumb size. The hailstones lasted for about 15 minutes before heavy rain started to pour.

Rainstorm also hit Nancheng County of Fuzhou City at the same time, breaking apart a tree of 40 centimeters in diameter in the middle and blowing down eight utility poles.

The tree has been cleared from the street and the utility poles have been erected by Sunday evening.

Hailstorms also hit Yihuang County of Fuzhou City for about 20 minutes on Sunday afternoon. No injuries or property losses were reported.

Downpours started to hit Shanggao County of Yichun City at around 16:00 and the rainfall reached 23.66 millimeters in 10 minutes.

Local authorities has issued a blue alert for strong wind and preparations have been made for the continuous rainstorms.
