"There is a stop sign for when mopeds are driving at an east-west intersection. That's to say that no matter what vehicle you're driving, you must stop at this intersection to let vehicles that are driving from south to north to go first. However, a pass priority is not an absolute pass. The vehicles moving from south to north should also slow down while passing through this intersection to avoid accidents."

Storyline

A car violently slammed into a moped at an intersection in Huai'an City in east China's Jiangsu Province on Saturday, leaving the moped driver and his passenger badly injured.

The accident happened at about 09:00 on a countryside road when the moped was moving westward and the car southwards.

Due to the severe force of the impact, the woman sitting on the back of the moped was catapulted over ten meters away, while the driver of the moped sustained a leg fracture and head trauma. Both are currently receiving treatment and are no longer in life-threatening danger.

The local traffic police investigated the accident and confirmed that both sides should bear equal blame for the accident.
