Chinese naval frigate Binzhou arrived in Polish port city Gdynia on Friday for the 100th anniversary of founding of the Polish navy.
The frigate will stay in Poland for six days for visit and communication at the invitation of the Polish government.
More than 300 people, including Polish naval officers, representative of China's embassy and overseas Chinese went to welcome Binzhou frigate at port.
Many of them went on the frigate for a visit and were excited by the appearance of the soldiers and the magnificence of the frigate.
"This is my first time to see our Chinese navy's frigate. It is indeed majestic. And our naval officers are strong and stalwart. They have very good air. As an overseas Chinese, I'm very excited," said Cao Yi, who works for a Chinese invested company in Poland.
"I'm so excited to have an opportunity to visit our frigate at such a close distance. It really cheers me up. The image of our navy left a deep impression on me. I'm so happy to have this opportunity to feel our country's prosperity and power," said Yang Nanhe, an overseas Chinese living in Poland.
Frigate Binzhou is the commanding ship of China's 29th naval escort fleet for anti-piracy missions in the Gulf of Aden and Somali waters. The frigate set off from east China on April 4 to complete its escort missions.
The 29th naval escort fleet consists of missile frigates Binzhou, Xuzhou and supply ship Qiandaohu.
