A liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker, registered in the Republic of Korea, leaked LPG into sea water near the Dongying port in east China's Shandong Province Saturday morning.
According to local government, the leakage happened around 10:30 a.m. The ship carried 1,850 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas, and had 15 people on board when the accident happened. All crew members are foreigners.
Efforts have been made to deal with the accident. The local government is monitoring the environment around the area. Ships nearby have been alerted to avoid the area.
