Currently, the vehicle has been used and tested at the Tianjin Port for more than one year. Tianjin Port recently bid and purchased four such trucks which are serving in small batch for the port's commercial operation. It is also the first time that smart vehicles made in China are used for commercial operation."

Made-in-China vehicles are being showcased at the 2019 Auto Show Shanghai for their novel concept, smart auto devices and AR smart maps.

The 2019 Auto Show Shanghai, running from Tuesday to April 25, has attracted over 1,000 auto industry producers from 20 countries and regions to display their new models and concept cars.

"Dongfeng Brave Worrier is a military off-road vehicle independently developed and produced by China's Dongfeng Motor Corporation. China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, also known as SINOTRUK, showcased its smart truck, an unmanned vehicle, which can automatically load and unload containers as well as bypass obstacles.

"The vehicle behind me is a L4-level smart truck used for specific purposes. It is a kind of smart device jointly developed by our company, Trunktech and Tianjin Port in over one year. Currently, the vehicle has been used and tested at the Tianjin Port for more than one year. Tianjin Port recently bid and purchased four such trucks which are serving in small batch for the port's commercial operation. It is also the first time that smart vehicles made in China are used for commercial operation," said Liu Peimin, vice president of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd (SINOTRUK).

In the 3H exhibition hall, Alibaba's booth attracted a lot of young people. An AR smart navigation system, based on artificial intelligence engine, can identify real time road information and integrate and show the road information with navigation information in the real scene in front of the driver.

"We hope the debut of our technology can give users a brand new driving experience, allowing them to focus on their front view when driving. So we display navigational information and other information that users need in driving on the front windshield. It's not merely a simple navigational system but a AR navigator," said a staff member of AliOS.

Apart from new technologies, many motor companies are also displaying new concept vehicles. As more companies have made layout in unmanned vehicles, smart navigation and car networking, smart travel in the near future will be the new development trend of the auto industry.
