"What I think they do really well is provide really good specifications for pretty affordable price points. If the demographic that Honor is looking for are people more or less my age or even younger, then of course having an affordable handset is going to be really important. And especially with the Honor 20 Pro, they've done a great job of actually providing good power and good performance."

"[If] Google takes away that license, then an integral part of all of these handsets goes away. There's no evidence right now that Huawei or Honor have anything that can really rival what Android provides to these handsets or even provide anything that could help consumers continue to use their handsets on the daily, so right now it's really important that they come to some sort of an agreement."

"Even in the UK, Mintel's data shows that Huawei's share has increased from 2 percent in 2018 to 7 percent in 2019. So again, just in the UK you've seen growth, and of course with the growth across the globe."

Chinese tech giant Huawei unveiled its new flagship phones in London on Tuesday, days after the United State announced restrictions on its products.
The buzz of the new Honor 20 series is about the tech packed inside, including four cameras and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Prices for the Honor 20 and the Honor 20 Pro are 499 euros and 599 euros, respectively.
"What I think they do really well is provide really good specifications for pretty affordable price points. If the demographic that Honor is looking for are people more or less my age or even younger, then of course having an affordable handset is going to be really important. And especially with the Honor 20 Pro, they've done a great job of actually providing good power and good performance," said Joshua Vergara, a mobile tech reviewer.
The global launch event was held days after the U.S. government banned the Chinese firm from using U.S. technology without government permission, meaning Huawei handsets may be denied access to certain apps and core Android services from Google.
"[If] Google takes away that license, then an integral part of all of these handsets goes away. There's no evidence right now that Huawei or Honor have anything that can really rival what Android provides to these handsets or even provide anything that could help consumers continue to use their handsets on the daily, so right now it's really important that they come to some sort of an agreement," said Vergara.
Responding to outside concerns, Huawei said that the company has been prepared for U.S. restrictions since 2012, and that they are now deep into the development of their own mobile operating system which will be launched this fall at the earliest.
With a record 59 million phones shipped in the first quarter for 2019, Huawei has set its sights on becoming the world's biggest smartphone producer within a year.
Analysts are optimistic about the company's growth, as Huawei takes the lead in many technologies, including the 5G mobile network.

So again, just in the UK you've seen growth, and of course with the growth across the globe," said Zach Emmanuel, a consumer technology analyst at Mintel, a market research company in London.
