3. SOUNDBITE (Chinese) Geng Shuang, spokesman, Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (partially overlaid by shots 4-5):
"Those reports and comments about the internal contradiction in the U.S. government, different voices among officials, came all from the American press. What I would like to remind you is the comment one high-ranking U.S. official made in a Q and A session at Texas A and M University this April: 'We lied, we cheated, we stole... it reminds you the glory of the American experiment'. While hearing this and recalling the 2003 invasion of Iraq by some country on the ground of Iraq possessing weapons of mass destruction, it's not hard to judge who is violating the international law and disrupting the international order. The international community has its own fair judgment on that."

The U.S. is making false counter-charge against China, Russia and other countries concerning the news on the internal discords in the U.S. government, said a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman.
Geng Shuang, the spokesman, said this at a regular press briefing in Beijing Wednesday in response to the recent claims by U.S. National security adviser John Bolton that countries like China and Russia are spreading fake information about discords between the U.S. president and his advisors.
