The China-developed Z-20 helicopter appeared at the 5th China Helicopter Exposition that kicked off on Thursday in Tianjin, north China.

Three Z-20 helicopters flew in formation at a low altitude, the first close-distance contact with the public after its flight at the military parade held on Oct 1 to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The Z-20 helicopter is China's first tactical utility helicopter, as well as the first medium lift helicopter.

The expo, which runs until Sunday, has attracted 415 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions, making it the largest one ever.
