Storyline

Giant panda frolicked excitedly in snow in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, on Thursday.

On Thursday, a light snow blanketed the city, bringing great joy to the giant panda at Panda House of the Yabuli Ski Resort, the largest ski resort in China.

The 13-year-old jovial panda Sijia moved to this snowflake kingdom from southwest China's Sichuan Province in July 2016, and has become accustomed to the northeast weather with distinctive four seasons, and she is especially fond of snow.

The white blanket of snow made the giant panda pretty excited, who walked out of the house and suddenly turned somersaults, rolled over and ran around in the snow.

Probably feeling a little bit tired, Sijia climbed on a tree, seating on a branch comfortably.

The Yabuli Panda House is at the highest latitude and northernmost among panda houses in China. It covers an area of 2,700 square meters. According to the living habits of pandas, the temperature in the house is kept at above 20 degree Celsius all year round, with the air humidity at above 60 percent. There is also a Panda Clinic in the house with professional medical workers looking after the precious species of animals.
