Storyline


Over 150 mall and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as ambassador delegations from 13 Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) hope to take further steps to cooperate with China's SMEs at a cooperation forum that kicked off on Friday in Cangzhou City, north China's Hebei province.

The three-day 2nd China-CEEC SME Cooperation Forum is expected to give full play to the role of the CEEC in the integration of the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-CEEC "17+1" cooperation mechanism to drive China-CEEC cooperation to a higher level and in broader areas, so as to realize win-win results through more practical cooperation with Europe.

A total of 38 projects worth 7.29 billion yuan (around 1.04 billion U.S. dollars) have been signed at the forum.

In addition, a spate of events will also be held alongside the forum, including celebrations for 70th anniversary of the establishment of China-Slovakia diplomatic relationship, the Sino-European SMEs Cooperation Meeting and China-CEEC Import and Export Trade Fair.
