Storyline

The fifth Pole Dancing and Aerial Art Extreme Cold Challenge Competition started last Saturday in the freezing weather of Mohe City, China's northernmost part.

The event, featuring outdoor pole dancing and aerial art performance in the minus 40 degrees Celsius environment, attracted 42 participants from across China this year, with the youngest being only six years old.

"No, I don't want to try, it's so cold here," a visitor refused to try it herself when asked by a reporter.

"It's my first time in Mohe, and also my first time watching pole dancing. I didn't expect such a show in this freezing environment. It's quite a surprise," said a tourist from China's warmer southern region.
