Chinese Vice Premier Liu He, also chief negotiator of the Chinese side of the China-U.S. comprehensive economic dialogue, met with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva and U.S. business leaders in Washington on Tuesday.

The International Monetary Fund has warned about the effects of the China-U.S. trade dispute on the world economy, such as sluggish growth and worries about investment.

The meeting also included the leaders of the U.S.-China Business Council, which forms a key economic bridge between the two countries.

Liu arrived in Washington on Monday to conclude a phase one trade agreement at the invitation of the United States.
