The China Coast Guard's ship 5204 concluded a four-day friendly visit to the Philippines on Friday.
It was China's Coast Guard vessel's first visit to the Philippines, aiming to strengthen dialogue and cooperation on maritime law enforcement.
During the four-day friendly visit, the China Coast Guards and their Philippine peers held maritime-rescue and fire-fighting exercises, open-day events and friendly sports matches.
The China Coast Guard delegation also donated its on-board supplies such as rice, flour, oil and food packs to evacuees affected by recent Taal's volcanic eruption to help them tide over the disaster.
The third meeting of the Joint Coast Guard Committee between the China Coast Guard and the Philippine Coast Guard were held from Tuesday to Thursday, with the two sides exchanging views on issues of maritime law enforcement and other common concerns.
The two sides reached consensus and signed minutes of the meeting.
