Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan has stressed to implement the decisions made by the central government over the epidemic in Hubei Province and to make further deployment to resolutely win the battle against the novel coronavirus epidemic.
Sun, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, is leading a central government team guiding the epidemic control work in Hubei.
Visiting the Hubei epidemic prevention and control headquarters, Sun said that under the strong leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, as well as efforts of cadres and the masses in the province, it's seeing some positive changes in the epidemic prevention and control.
But the epidemic situation is still severe, she said.
Sun said the extreme importance and urgency of the Hubei and Wuhan epidemic prevention and control should be deeply understood and that more decisive measures should be taken to win the battle.
