Storyline

People's life is returning to normal as the epidemic situation continues to ease in China, with classes, restaurants, sports centers and passenger services resuming in an orderly manner.

Over 250,000 senior students from 400 schools in north China's Shanxi Provice went back to school on Wednesday. In order to avoid gathering, students are divided into classes and have meals in batches.

"According to our arrangement, the 1,500 senior students in 28 classes were divided into two groups. 14 classes register in the morning and the others register in the afternoon," said Zhang Yangguan, president of Linfen No.1 High School.

Starting from March 5, restaurants in Dezhou City, east China's Shandong Province officially resumed the eat-in service while requiring people to take seats separately. Now 70 percent of the restaurants have resumed business.

"I think by the end of the week, we're going to start to have reservations. Customers will have to wait for about an hour to two hours. I feel confident that I can get through this difficult time," said Zhao Yao, manager of Haidilao, a hot pot restaurant.

In east China's Zhejiang Province, as the emergency response for epidemic prevention and control has been adjusted to level three, the negative list for public places and businesses has been canceled. Starting from Wednesday, residents can make an appointment to sports centers.

The pre-sale period of passenger tickets at Shanghai long distance terminal is back to normal, and passengers can buy tickets 10 days in advance. At present, the passenger service in China except Hubei Province has been basically resumed.
