Storyline


Wang Yang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and top political advisor, stressed to uphold the principles of "one country, two systems" and stick to the 1992 Consensus when joining a panel discussion with deputies from Taiwan at the third session of the 13th National People's Congress on Sunday in Beijing.

At the panel discussion, Wang stressed to study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's discourses on Taiwan-related work, stick to the principles of "peaceful reunification" and "one country, two systems", uphold the 1992 Consensus that embodies the one-China principle, and resolutely oppose separatist attempts and acts for "Taiwan independence" in any form.

Wang also stressed to implement preferential measures that benefit Taiwan and its residents, help Taiwan-funded enterprises to tide over the epidemic, support Taiwan firms and businessmen to participate in new infrastructures construction, and provide better condition for Taiwan youths to study, start business, work and live in the mainland.
