A market opened on Tuesday on the original site of the Xinfadi wholesale market after its suspension for 45 days.

The Xinfadi wholesale market has been closed due to the cluster infections of COVID-19 occurred earlier in June.

Converted from the distribution center, the convenience market covers an area of 1,000 square meters, capable of accommodating 22 stands that sell vegetables, cereals, oil, fruits, eggs and staple food.

"I've been ordering vegetables on line lately. This newly opened market has made very convenient for us," said a local resident.

It was learned that the convenience market was thoroughly disinfected before its opening and all the retailers went through nucleic acid testing. The market has designated people to do the disinfection three times a day.

The cluster infections of COVID-19 in Xinfadi which broke out on June 11 has caused more than 300 people infected.
