Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng on Wednesday met with high-level officials from discipline forces of the Macao Special Administrative Region led by Wong Sio Chak, Secretary for Security, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Han, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, is head of the central leading group on Hong Kong and Macao work.

Han said that under the guidance and support of the central government, Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng led the Macao SAR government in effectively preventing and controlling the coronavirus epidemic and steadily restoring the economy and social order, which reflects the strong vitality and advantages of the "one country, two systems" principle.

Han praised the discipline forces for having played an important role in maintaining social stability and order in Macao.

The vice premier hopes the discipline forces will unswervingly implement the "one country, two systems" principle, improve the legal system and enforcement mechanism of the Macao SAR to maintain national security, support the chief executive to govern in accordance with the law, and make greater contributions to the stability and long-term development of the "one country, two systems" principle.

El viceprimer ministro de China, Han Zheng, se reunió ayer miércoles en Beijing con una delegación de alto nivel de las fuerzas disciplinadas de la Región Administrativa Especial (RAE) de Macao, liderada por el secretario de Seguridad, Wong Sio Chak.

Han, miembro del Comité Permanente del Buró Político del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de China, encabeza el grupo dirigente central sobre el trabajo de Hong Kong y Macao.

Han elogió a las fuerzas disciplinadas por desempeñar un papel importante en el mantenimiento de la estabilidad social y el orden en la RAE de Macao.

Instó a las fuerzas disciplinadas a seguir comprometidas con la aplicación del principio de "un país, dos sistemas"; mejorar continuamente el sistema jurídico de apoyo y los mecanismos de aplicación para salvaguardar la seguridad nacional en la RAE de Macao; dar pleno respaldo al jefe ejecutivo del gobierno de la RAE de conformidad con la ley, y hacer mayores contribuciones al desarrollo constante de "un país, dos sistemas".

Por su parte, Wong informó a Han sobre el trabajo de las fuerzas disciplinadas y se comprometió a salvaguardar el principio de "un país, dos sistemas", así como la prosperidad y la estabilidad de la RAE de Macao.
