Storyline

Foreign trade goes online and is digitalized in the 128th session of Canton Fair which opened on Thursday.

Two minutes after the 128th Canton Fair opened, thousands of hosts were busy with 1,119 livestreams. Exhibitors can go into each livestream to watch and comment.

After entering the Canton Fair official website virtual exhibition hall, the exhibition hall of each subdivision industry is shown in front of people in a three-dimensional model. In the process of "Cloud Exhibition", the booths of various brands are arranged neatly just as they are arranged in the offline exhibition hall.

The Canton Fair will last for ten days till October 24. As all exhibitions, negotiations and transactions are carried out on the Internet platform, the working mode of security has shifted from the previous offline control to network security prevention and control.

"Guangzhou police will set up a special security team composed of professional police officers and the two centers will operate 24 hours a day. Through the establishment of network security support and an emergency response team, we will collect data, judge and issue warnings. We will try to deal with network security issues as soon as they occur," said Yang Bingsheng, deputy director of Public Security Bureau in Guangzhou.

Due to the global and open nature of the Canton Fair, the police have also established an early warning line and strengthened anti-fraud publicity by means of internet publicity and auditing exhibitors. Though it is a "cloud exhibition", in order to ensure the stability and public security in and around the Exhibition hall, police said they would send extra police to patrol the exhibition hall and key areas around the fair.

The scale of this Canton fair stays on a par with last session. There are about 60,000 booths. Nearly 26,000 companies at home and abroad will exhibit about 2.3 million products.
