China and Russia launched construction of a cooperation center at the core area of the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) demonstration zone in east China's Shandong Province on Sunday.
With a total investment of around two billion yuan and covering an area of about 200,000 square meters in the core area of the China-SCO local economic and trade cooperation demonstration zone in Qingdao City, the cooperation center is expected to speed up cultural, tourist and sci-tech collaboration and promote in-depth cooperation on industrial chain between China and Russia by gathering high-quality enterprise resources.
"[The China-SCO local economic and trade cooperation demonstration zone] has launched pure air freighter route and rail freight route to Moscow with the establishment of warehouses in Russia, and is implementing a 10-billion-yuan China-Russia Energy Fund.
