We would like to organically integrate such factors as Winter Olympics, cities and film so as to make people feel the humanistic and landscape of the city of Changchun after these elements are projected on the screen. As to the presentation on stage, we will organically integrate the road and subway networks, the city planning and the snow tracks of the Winter Olympics."

The 16th China Changchun Film Festival (CCFF) will open with a ceremony on Tuesday evening.
With the theme "New Era, New Cradle, New Force", this year's CCFF will be held in the Changchun City of northeast China's Jilin Province from Tuesday to Saturday. The event, which was founded 29 years ago, is co-sponsored by the China Media Group (CMG) and the Jilin provincial government and organized by the Changchun municipal government.
Staff members of the CCFF, including actors, actresses and directors, lighting engineers, acoustics operators and choreography designers are busy preparing for the opening of grand event.
Gao Fangwei, choreography director for the opening ceremony, said: "North China has four distinct seasons and the festival hits upon the winter season.
The right side of the stage will feature a vivid sculpture of a golden deer facing the stage, highlighting the 29th anniversary of one of the most coveted prizes in the film industry, the Golden Deer Award. On the guardrails of the audience stand, the LED screen circling half of the auditorium is designed as an unrolled film, which changes color and lights in different scenarios. Another highlight is a new concept of a 3D map shown by a laser projecting device.
The Changchun Film Festival is one of China's four major national-level film festivals founded by the city of Changchun in 1992. It is the first national film festival named after a city since the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Starting this year, the biennial event will be held annually.
