Rwamda held a military review on the occasion of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the liberation and spectators were surprised that when the officers and men were passing through the rostrum, they shouted slogans in Chinese.
It turned out that the parade army was trained by Chinese guard of honor.
The military review was part of a series of activities to mark its Liberation Day, known as Kwibohora locally.
The Chinese guard of honor sent six instructors in April this year at the invitation of Rwanda national army to undertake training of officers and men and police to participate in the parade.
"We engaged in the training more than eight hours a day as we did in China," said Liu Baoxin, an instructor of PLA guard of honor.
As nearly 2,000 officers and men and police participated in the review, the training task was very heavy. The instructors carried out the training step by step, first the backbones, then the formation and detachments and in the end the assemble.
"Their performance today has gone beyond our expectations, reaching the level we trained. We are satisfied with their performance," said Liu.
After the parade, the Rwandan military sent people to thank the Chinese instructors and promised to keep on with what they have learned from Chinese instructors.
