The International Grand Bazaar in Urumqi City of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is attracting large groups of tourists for its ethnic features during the country's five-day Labor Day holiday, which will come to an end on Wednesday.
As the COVID-19 epidemic situation under control domestically, the bazaar has mostly restored its usual hustle and bustle.
As a key sightseeing and shopping destination in Xinjiang, the bazaar is frequented by tourists as well as locals for its best-sellers such as handicrafts and local specialties.
Tourists can not only experience local traditional folk customs, but also enjoy the culture and art from Central Asian countries.
Precautions are still in place. Tourists entering the scenic area are asked to wear masks and have their body temperature checked. Public areas are disinfected regularly.
