1. Trailer of Mid-Autumn Festival Gala by China Media Group (CMG)

The China Media Group (CMG) on Friday released the first trailer of its grand gala celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival which falls on Tuesday.

The Mid-Autumn Festival, the 15th day of August on lunar Chinese calendar, fell on Sept. 21 this year. During the festival, people usually hold family gatherings, eat moon cakes, admire the full moon, and celebrate good harvests.

The CMG have already completed its recording of the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala in the 2,000-year-old Xichang City in southwest China's Sichuan Province, which is dubbed as the "city of the moon". The gala will air the grand show at 20:00 on Tuesday night.

This year's gala includes an indoor and special outdoor concert, with an all-star lineup of musicians, actors and athletes, special guest performers, as well as a large star-spangled firework show beside the Qionghai Lake.

The two-hour gala integrated national identity, multi-ethnic acculturation and traditional culture, including several hot topics ranging from the upcoming Winter Olympic, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to important achievements in space technology.
