Elsewhere, the range of nucleic acid testing in Zhangzhou City has been extended to several special groups, such as teachers and medical workers.
All public transport services including buses, taxis, and rails have been suspended in the cities of Putian, Xiamen, Quanzhou, and Zhangzhou.
As the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays are approaching, the province also has stepped up its efforts to maintain the market supply, ensuring non-staple food reaching 18,000 tons per day.
The Covid-19 outbreak in Fujian started showed signs of slowing on Friday, with daily local infections recording the smallest growth since cases started emerging last week.
